Depending on your needs, the peeling is individually selected and adapted to your skin and requirements. We often use the following active ingredients in our centre, either individually or in combination. They are applied to your skin, work on the skin for a few minutes, are neutralised and then your skin is cared for with a soothing mask.
Glycolic acid: Glycolic acid is made from sugar cane and is considered one of the first active ingredients in modern peels. It has literally caused a revolution in the cosmetic/medical industry and is mostly used in conventional fruit acid peels. The skin is tightened, and visible wrinkles are reduced. Glycolic acid is especially recommended for wrinkles, sun damage and mild acne scars.
Mandelic acid: Mandelic acid is extracted from almonds and is ideal for older, hyperpigmented and oily skin. The fibroblasts as well as the connective tissue build-up are stimulated, and the collagen synthesis is activated. Mandelic acid is especially recommended for men and people with pigmentation spots, large pores and oily skin.
Salicylic acid: Salicylic acid is extracted from willow bark and gained worldwide fame through the drug aspirin. In cosmetics, salicylic acid is mainly recommended for acne and acne scars. It has an excellent effect on sebaceous gland production and has both bacteriostatic and antiseptic effects.
Lactic acid: Cleopatra already knew about it and swore by it. Lactic acid is extracted from milk products and is especially recommended for very sensitive or rather younger skin. The acid is processed into a very light peeling that makes the skin glow.
TCA peel: Trichloroacetic acid is a stronger acid that is used as a medium deep peel for scars or hyperpigmentation. The TCA peel is also a very effective anti-ageing peel. However, depending on your individual conditions, you have to expect a few days of downtime. Due to the intensity of this peel, medical supervision is necessary. If you would like a TCA peel, please make an appointment with Dr. Spiegelfeld or Mr. Dr. Bisschoff upfront.
